In my experience, people overthink questions like this. The question sounds very technical — “specific reasons and details” — but just relax and keep things simple. Don’t be afraid to talk about your personal experience. Maybe you have some stories of why you hate living in a big city. celpip material.com
Hassle (inconvenience)
Make it out to be (think it is)
Drawbacks (disadvantages)
Appealing (attractive)
Insane (crazy)
Downside (disadvantage)
Commute (the drive to work)
Rush hour (heavy traffic)
In my opinion, I think a lot of people move to cities because they think their lives will improve. They might get a higher paying job, be closer to shopping centres, and things like that, but I don’t think most people really consider the big picture. Living in a city actually has a lot of drawbacks. Rush hour, for example, is a nightmare. I used to live in Toronto and getting to work every morning took over an hour. The commute home wasn’t much better. That’s two hours of my day sitting in a car. That’s insane! In a small town, you don’t have to worry about traffic at all! Sure, the pay might not be as good, but is it worth the extra hassle? Not in my opinion! The other nice thing about a small town is that you can build more genuine relationships.
Anyway, those are some reasons why I’m convinced that city life is not as appealing as people make it out to be.
